What is this nursery’s greatest strength?
Willow offers Quality care and Early Years Education that is ” Second to Mum”
Nursery Director: Jan Webber
Acceptance Age: 3 months to 4.5 years
I went to see the nursery after hearing such fantastic things about it & have registered my unborn baby into the Little Willow’s section. Jan certainly knows her stuff, the premises are amazing, very light, great outside areas & with fantastic additional activities to stimulate the children I am sure we will be seeing more Willow branches in the future!
(November, 2010)A truly spectacular kindergarten. Yes, they’re new, but they’ve been setup by one of Dubai’s most recognized early childhood educators. Jan has done a tremendous job in setting it up; with ample play area, colorful rooms, cheerful teachers and at a fair rate. I hope that as they grow, they continue to maintain this extraordinary focus on each child individually and do not get carried away with stuffing each room with as many kids as possible. A highly recommended nursery!
(January, 2011)I visited the nursery with my wife after hearing such wonderful things from her – it truly is a breath of fresh air – the main focus here was actually the children with stunning premises – a rare find nowadays in Dubai! We have enrolled our son and our daughter will be following closely behind – a real treasure of a nursery perhaps one of Dubai’s best kept secrets!
(February, 2011)Wonderful child care center for infants and toddlers. Jan runs a tight ship and the staff love the kids like their own. One bonus is that the staff are highly qualified (unlike some nurseries in town) and most of them speak English as a first language. They’ve got a vast outdoor play area for kids and a very colorful interior for music, art and play. Always brings a smile to my face when dropping off the little one.
(April, 2011)Just wanted to update on Willow!
My DD has been attending since they opened and I was very impressed then. Well my impression has changed ……its even better than I could have hoped. Having come from another nursery I was worried about her settling in and making friends. The staff are always welcoming and have time for everyone, even for the little insecurities of us first time fussy parents.
I love the enthusiasm of the teachers, the respect they show for their Manager and just the beautiful surroundings that my precious daughter races into each morning. I have seen a remarkable difference in her speech / language development and her interest in everything around her.
Got her first report today and it made me cry! they had got her down to a ‘T’ i could tell they knew her through and through. She is loved ,cared for and given what i as a Non educator can only say is the best start to her education that I could have hoped for.
Do yourself a favour, pay them a visit. They have in 6 months gone from 0- 120….. that just about says it all.
Thank you WILLOW.
I visited Willows after seeing the feedback on the internet. All I can say is wow, I finally found “the” nursery for my kids!!! Jan gave us a very informative tour of the nursery and the facilities. Great to see such bright classrooms..and looking at the premises, no one would ever think that the nursery has been operational for less than a year. The best part is that kids are allowed to be as creative as possible!
Overall…very warm teachers/ assistants, great premises/facilities and it is very very eco friendly.
I am looking at admitting my kids in January 2012, but the chances may be slim considering its not the beginning of the year ! I do hope my kids stand a chance to be a part of this wonderful nursery (even if it means travelling a bit!!).
(June, 2011)I had heard so much about Willow from friends that I decided to take a visit as I wanted to move my son from his current nursery.
I was impressed the moment I walked through the gates. The Owner greeted us with a huge smile and showed us around the facilities. Having had some issues I asked probably too many questions, however these were answered with obvious pleasure and not once did I feel like I was taking up too much time or being a “pain”!
What I personally noticed was that in every class the Staff took time to greet me and my son and to make us feel really welcome.
The nursery is stunning and what i really liked was their “Holistic” ethos . I love the ” Natural concept” and have signed up to join Willow Cottage which is a totally Eco friendly environment where i know my child will not only have a great time but will hopefully learn about the world he lives in and how to care for it! Just beautiful! i can go on holiday now knowing he is coming back to new experiences and that I can start my new business venture knowing he is well cared for .
Well worth taking a look.
Willow is fabulous! Jan who is the owner of the nursery is very good. She is so pro active and also flexible. Most importantly you can just see that she genuinely loves the kids which is something I didn’t feel in other nurseries I have visited.
(July, 2011)Willow truly is a fantastic nursery, I enrolled my eldest in the summer camp & he had a wonderful time, the weeks were all themed & creative art work was brought back in an abundance. He really is excited for the new term starting this week, where I am sure as has happened in earlier terms Jan & her team will deliver to the highest standards. A truly impressive team of caring key workers with our children’s best interests at heart
(September, 2011)I registered my Daughter at Willow before the summer break, having toured 7 other nurseries! I just loved the whole ethos of the premises and the natural Holistic based teaching methods. The whole nursery gives off a calm yet busy and happy atmosphere. Today was her first day, and I have to admit I was the nervous one! I just have to say the staff made me feel welcome, and as well as handling my little one with care and attention they managed to ease my anticipation , the owner even made me a cup of tea!!! ( I wasnt the only newbie feeling that way) so it was tea all round!
The nursery is clean, bright and I just loved all of the beautiful wooden toys and equipment . I am a very relieved and happy Mum. Every box ticked in my opinion.
I have been looking around nurseries for the last couple of weeks for a place for my very young baby. I was getting very disheartened to say the least! Due to the very short maternity leave here I have to go back to work sooner that I would have liked and finding the right place for my son was proving traumatic. I have seen some Ok places but i have also seen some dreadful ones too! On Sunday I went to see Willow! I just have to share my thoughts and feelings as I was so impressed by what I saw, I knew I had to get my son a place. I just absolutely love the place, the baby room is gorgeous. The specially designed cots… a little futuristic but amazing. The one most important thing I want to mention is ( because I know Teachers rarely get compliments, its usually complaints) the staff not only in the baby room but throughout the nursery were wonderful. In particular I loved that the lady in charge of babies was so caring and thoughtful and very importantly was knowledgeable about all to do with tiny ones. The ratio is 2 babes for one staff member, which compared to other places I had been was excellent. I honestly hope they can find me a space as after seeing this nursery I can’t and don’t want anywhere else. The Manager/owner is obviously passionate about her job and spent a long time answering all my ( probably silly) questions and I did notice that all the children kept wanting to chat with her and tell her their stories as we toured around( and she knew every child’s name)
Hope they read this as i really hope to secure a space shortly( wait listed now).
I have now had my liitle daughter in Willow Nursery since January and felt I had to thank eveyone on this site for the great comments as this is what made me go to look around the nursery. I actually did not continue my search after I stepped into the front gate of the nursery! I just knew this was the best place for her! After just over a month I am so thrilled I just can’t express how happy we are. Willow is not just an amazing facility it has amazing teachers who are dedicated and caring. I would also second Anna’s comment that the Nursery owner ( Miss Jan ) is not only a fountain of knowledge about children and their needs but is genuinely the most dedicated and wonderful lady I have met! i too can go to work and not worry about anything. My daughter loves going to nursery and always comes home with something new she has learned, to show us.
