This is quite a common question. I cannot emphasize this enough to students, do not have anyone else write the essays or copy and paste it off the net. Admission officers are very savvy and can easily determine a plagiarized essay. Try not to use unnecessarily long words so the admission officers are referring to a dictionary. Write in an engaging way. Keep explanations short and brief.
Your essays should be expressive of your passions, interests, accomplishments, aspirations, and motivations. They should be able to sell you as a product without a sales effort. That is the main goal. It is not about your basic biographical information or where you were born or about your likes and dislikes. It has to do with you as a person and where you see yourself in the future.
Ultimately your essay has to stand out from the rest and should be able to show your creative writing skills. It should be grammatically correct, have excellent comprehension and show a string of ideas that are logically linked. And please do use spell check, word count as these essays should not exceed a maximum word limit.
Finally, remember it is a work in process, never write and submit in one go.
