Dubai, UAE: The Kensington Nursery opens its doors to the community for a National Day Celebration on Saturday the 19th of November 2011
Helping the children understand the community in which they live, as well as teaching respect of their own culture and that of others, is an integral part of the nursery’s approach. Furthermore, Knowledge and Understanding of the World is one of the key learning areas, within the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
The Kensington Nursery has an international students mix with more than 30 nationalities enrolled in their nurseries at Umm Sequim and Dubai Silicon Oasis. The event will provide a unique opportunity for children and their families to share the rich and diverse culture of the United Arab Emirates.
“Our national day event is always one of our most popular” say Jane Gammage, Nursery Manager. She continues “this is even more special as it is the 40th National Day and a reminder of how much has been achieved by the UAE’s openness, hospitality and traditional values.”
The event will feature Camel Rides, Henna Tattooing, and Traditional Yola Dancers, games and creative project and the chance to sample some delicious Emirati cuisine,
The event is open to all families in the community and will take place at both Nurseries on the 19th November
