KAUST advances science and technology through bold and collaborative research. It educates scientific and technological leaders, catalyzes the diversification of the Saudi economy and addresses challenges of regional and global significance, thereby serving the Kingdom, the region and the world.
In my opinion, KAUST is the best academic university in the region. It’s not the right place for those who don’t want a big, urban campus. My professors have been great. They are very welcoming when it comes to helping with course work and could spend hours sitting in the library with us. Some of them also have pretty good connections in Jeddah and are able to get us internships at large Saudi conglomerates. Highly recommend KAUST to other students in the GCC.
(August, 2010)I love you KAUST, even with all those hoops you made me jump through to get admitted. Once I got in, I knew that with the bar set so high, I’ll be making friends with some of the region’s smartest individuals. And boy was I right. Although new, they are on a constant drive to keep improving, advancing and offering students more. It’s truly amazing, being King Abdullah pet project – you could be sure it gets some very high profile attention throughout the Kingdom. I look forward to my graduation and feel confident that job hunting with the KAUST seal under my belt, there will be some promising opportunities.

Truly a great place to be at. Students have very little excuse not to attend classes at KAUST, as they have some of the best academic professors in the entire region. The campus facilities and state-of-the-art technologies available to us will definitely play a vital role in promoting innovation in Saudi Arabia. It may be my first year, but I feel this university has a lot to offer and will unveil some amazing breakthroughs in research & tech.
