If you live in Dubai and plan on getting a decent American higher education, then RIT is the place for you. I’m currently majoring in IT and have made a lot of great friends here. Studying at RIT Dubai has a few interesting perks; it is easy getting internships at Media City based companies that recognize the Rochester Institute’s strengths, they recruit some truly outstanding professors from the US giving students a great learning opportunity and it’s always a plus point to have wireless connectivity throughout campus Being a girl, I find it a bit challenging driving down to their campus at Academic City all the way from JBR, but other than that, its well worth it.

I think this is the perfect place to get an American degree for those who doesn’t have the chance to go to US to study. RIT has good professors who can keep you interested during the whole lecture and the overall atmosphere helps you to study. I also find it difficult to get there every day, because the place is quite far from TECOM, where I live.

Being a student in RIT has been my pleasure and I’m really happy to be one. RIT has many benefits for its students. It offers the Co-op program which enable us to experience real life work that applies to whatever major you are studying which not only improve your knowledge, but also allow you to have a better job offers in the future. Graduating with a USA certificate is also a huge advantage for everyone to use, especially if your parents did not allow you to study over seas :p The university also have highly experienced and well educated Professors. RIT Dubai is the perfect example of how western universities are evolving nowadays with the concept of global branch campuses. Dubai is one of the most cutting edge and fast growing cities in the world. You are in a city of innovation that utilizes its youth and students to make it bigger and better than ever imagined before.

Although the campus size may be smaller than a traditional university is, the student to faculty ratio to be low, which is a major advantage. Your professors actually know who you are, and you can get to know them in class or out, so when it comes to networking your professors can easily help you out because they know your skills and what you excel in. Also, in a smaller university you really get to shine and stand out if you work hard and focus on what you are good at.

Students are very friendly and welcoming. Many universities claim to be diverse, yet when you actually go to their campus, every group of friends is divided according to ethnicity. At RIT Dubai it’s different. Everyone talks and works with each other, no matter what their background is.

In addition to receiving an American degree at the end of the bachelors program, you still remain relatively close to home even if you don’t live in the UAE. (The Atlantic Ocean is bigger than you think). Oh yeah, and RIT Dubai’s campus is located right beside the Dubai Silicon Oasis HQ. Note that the Silicon Oasis is the Ruler of Dubai’s vision of replicating the Silicon Valley in California, where companies like Google are located, and universities like Stanford. It’s exciting to know you are becoming part of the foundation of a long term mission.

Some of you probably never heard of RIT, and i dont blame you for that, we are not that old here in UAE, some of you probably even thought of RTA when you read the name, but let me tell you more about RIT and my experience there. RIT is a US based university that opened a branch in the UAE, the degree is same as the one in the US, which means its internationally certified which is very important.
Now about my experience, RIT is an amazing place, its not only full of a well educated and qualified staff, but also with a diverse and amazing bunch of students. Students at RIT make you feel like you’re at home, and the classes are amazing, you actually do have fun learning. I am very privilege to have the opportunity to attend this university here in Dubai and receive the same quality education. Being at RIT DUBAI has been one of the best experiences of my life so far.
