Future University in Egypt (FUE) is an independent, private, non-profit, and equal-opportunity educational institution Founded in 2006 by the Presidential Decree 254/2006 according to law number 101/1992 and executive regulations 219/2002.
In Egypt, FUE operates as a private cultural institute within the framework of Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. FUE is licensed to grant degrees and is incorporated in the protocols of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities.
FUE’s mission is that “FUE is committed to distinction, innovation, and quality standards. FUE’s priority is to stay abreast with the national, regional and international changes taking place in the interrelated fields of education, scientific research, and community development, while consolidating values and professional ethics”
The university advances the ideals of professional education and of life-long learning. As freedom of academic expression is fundamental to this effort, FUE encourages the free exchange of ideas and promotes open and on-going interaction with scholarly institutions throughout Egypt and other parts of the world.
The Mission Statement of Future University in Egypt (FUE) affirms a commitment to “an atmosphere that values intellectual curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge while preserving academic freedom and integrity”. FUE is thus committed to creating environments where freedom of inquiry occurs in a climate of inclusiveness and civility. Central to this commitment is the principle of treating each member of the University community fairly and with respect. To encourage such behavior, FUE prohibits discrimination, disrespect, and harassment and provides equal opportunities for all community members regardless of their race, color, religion, ethnic origin, ancestry, medical condition, marital status, gender or age. Where actions are found that violate this standard, the University will take prompt action to end the offending conduct, prevent its recurrence, provide corrective training, and, when necessary, discipline those responsible.

Each faculty runs more than one academic program for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
The university environment is designed to advance proficient use of the tools of learning as well as students’ thinking capabilities, language, and personal skills. Through its adult and continuing education programs, the university offers educational opportunities to enhance the professional and job skills of non-degree students.
English Language Department
FUE official language of instruction is English. All applicants are required to sit for an English language placement test. This will enable the department to place undergraduate in one of the English language levels.

We have adopted the CEFR as our framework of reference for language learning and assessment. Students join the AELP and the GELP courses based on their Placement test results.

Scientific Research
Moreover, FUE strives to contribute to scientific research activities in different domains. All FUE academic Faculties (schools) have International Scientific Journals with regular periodic production. Internal and external scholars publish high quality research works in these journals. These activities reflected to place FUE in a high-top ranking among local universities as well as regionally.

FUE has signed many academic cooperation agreements with some of the most distinguished universities in the world. These agreements include faculty and student exchange, mutual accreditation of degrees, continuing education, and certificate programs.

International Ranking
Future University in Egypt has been crowned with the rank 71-80 among Arab universities in 2021 after being ranked 111-120 in 2020 in QS Rankings for Arab Region which is an annual insight into the top performing institutions in the Arab region. In what has been a challenging year for the higher education sector across the globe, the level of engagement from institutions in the Arab region has been tremendously encouraging.
Since 2015, FUE took bold steps towards being ranked by the most reputable university rankings in the world. Thereby, in 2016 FUE has been crowned by QS Stars’ QS Intelligence Unit as a Three Stars Institution where it was the first for the education sector in Egypt. This made it the first and only private Egyptian university to achieve this international rating, and the second Egyptian university after Ain Shams at that time. In 2020, it has been crowned as a Four Stars Institution. QS Stars’ rating system facilitates the evaluation of universities across a much broader range of criteria and with respect to established thresholds rather than the performance of others. This rating is based on several important and pivotal criteria, including: the university’s academic reputation and the percentage of faculty members to students, among other criteria.
QS World University Ranking
As one of the most prestigious higher education institutions, Future University celebrates its prominent rankings which reflects FUE’s dedication to promote the educational process in Egypt, the Arab region as well as Africa. According to QS World University Ranking, FUE has been ranked 1001-1200 globally (2023), THE TOP of Private Universities in Egypt, and the fourth among all Egyptian universities. In addition, FUE achieved another leading position among the Arab universities as it has been ranked 51-60 in Arab Region according to QS Arab Region University Ranking (2022).
Times Higher Education Impact Rankings
According to Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, FUE has been ranked 601-800 globally in the Worldwide Overall Ranking (2022). FUE is one of the top two universities in: Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities.
Student Life
University life is more than just studying. At FUE we believe in an integrated environment of social activities and work. The mission of the Student Life Department is to provide students with the opportunity to explore their hobbies and talents and to serve their community. There are many Clubs to join: sports, social, artistic, and cultural clubs. There is also a gymnastic air-conditioned hall available for students and staff to maintain fitness.
Students Training & Employment Opportunities
Future University in Egypt arranges summer internships with Multi-National Companies in different sectors for FUE students. Summer training for students is also available abroad through FUE's international cooperation agreements with top universities. The university also holds annual Employment Fair which offers students the opportunity to apply for jobs after graduation. Considering our commitment to conduct and promote strategic and applied research that contributes to the social, cultural and economic development of Egypt and the Arab region, FUE promotes and supports research projects for both Faculty staff and students.
Community Engagement
Purpose: To participate in policymaking to set an outline to reducing poverty and promoting both equity and sustainable development.
Addressing Poverty: Poverty usually is defined as lack of economic resources and is defined broadly as social exclusion.
Addressing and reducing poverty comes through the unity of technology, research, and public service to address FUE’s goal towards local and national development needs.
