Najran University

Najran University vision is to be a leading institution in teaching, learning and community service, and have active participation in building a community of science and knowledge. Mission of the university is to provide distinctive education that meets the needs of society and the labor market and contribute effectively to the sustainable development through applied research, the optimal use of modern technologies and the active partnership at the local, regional and global levels.

In accordance with the Najran University's belief in the values and teachings of Islam, the University is committed to major values that are followed by the University as guidelines that control the conduct and the overall performance of all its employees, academic and administrative units in all the activities and decisions.

Najran University is located on the Eastern outskirts of the city of Najran, with an area of 18 million square meters, thus becoming the largest University campus all over the Kingdom. The University will include two campuses for males and females. It consist of 15 and 10 colleges for males and females respectively, with an overall capacity of 45 thousand students. The university will also have a medical city, a research center, a sport and entertainment arenas and accommodation for the faculty and staff members as well as students. There will also be a future investment city to serve as a trust foundation for the university. The investment will include, not exclusively, hotels, commercial centers and private schools.

With respect to staff, they carry out all their transactions through a system of administrative communication and access to electronic services through the portal of the university staff. With regard to the visitor's portal , i.e. citizens, they can get the information they want to know about the university. Besides, it enables the visitors to make contact with the rector of the university, making suggestions, complaints or carrying out transactions via a specific link of the rector.

Najran University could have made progress in the field of electronic services and hence became without paper. It obtained an advanced position according to the local and international rankings. It was one of the top three universities in Saudi Arabia according to the Yasser's ranking of electronic services, and has achieved the eighth position on the level of the Saudi universities according to the famous Spanish International Ranking, Webometrics. It is worth mentioning that the University of Najran was just a community college four years ago and now has become a comprehensive university, with all the majors needed by the labor market. The University is home to more than twenty thousand students in fourteen faculties of different medical, practical and humanities specialisms.
