The capital of the United Arab Emirates and with apopulation of 2.6 million (2015), Abu Dhabi is home to a diverse curricula of private schools and colleges, with subjects taught in Arabic and English. Set up in 1993, the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) works at the government level and through an auxiliary body (the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), has a mandate to certify organizations and education institutions in the Emirate.
