Gifted children are considered as having exceptional intellectual capacities in different fields. From intellectual to artistic skills, these children need specific support from school entities in order to nurture and grow their talents. Giftedness is quite a new concept for UAE Private Schools and that is why on November 3rd an exclusive workshop, organized by Synergy University Dubai, will be conducted for Counsellors, Principals and Educational Leaders on how to nurture and recognize gifted children and their intellect during their school curriculum, as well as expected attendance from senior officials of several governmental entities.
The main speaker of the event will be Dr. Manahel Thabet who is a pioneer in the field of childrens’ gifted education. She was the person behind the success of the 12th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness in 2012 in Dubai – UAE where she served as the Chairwoman of Scientific Committee, Chairwoman of Recommendation Committee and the Senior Advisor. The conference was hosted by Hamdan Awards for Academic Excellence with participation from 42 countries and 320 papers in the field of gifted and talented. Dr. Thabet was assigned the Vice-Chancellor of the UK based Gifted Academy.
Dr. Thabet is, ranked amongst the 30 smartest people alive by Superscholar Ranking, with an IQ of over 168. In 2013 Dr. Thabet won the title genius of the year 2013 representing the co ntinent of Asia by the World Genius Directory in Australia. Dr. Thabet is the Vice president of World Intelligence Network, a platform to more than 57,000 high IQ members and the Founding President of the High IQ Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Thabet is a fellow member of the British Royal Society of Medicine and in recognition of her efforts towards Gifted education her name was engraved in the wall of honor at the main hall of The Royal Society in London. She is a double PhD holder. Dr. Thabet also encourages women leadership initiatives and is the patron of the flagship Women’s Leadership MBA program at Synergy University in Dubai.
The Keynote speech will be delivered by Mr Zaid Maleh who is the Vice Chancellor International at Synergy University Dubai and CEO of DACH ADVISORY. Mr Maleh is overseeing international activities of Synergy University and is actively involved in various talent, entrepreneurship and recently giftedness related projects aiming at supporting students and providing them unique opportunities to take their ideas to the next level.
