Reinforcing our focus on being a truly international school which fosters our cultural diversity, ISL Qatar offers one of the most distinct and dynamic language programs in the world. Our mother tongue language program currently supports 12 languages, and we are always open to offering additional languages. This program promotes respect for the literary heritage of a student’s home language and provides an opportunity for students to continue to develop literacy skills in their mother tongue while studying in a different language of instruction. Today there is overwhelming research evidence that supports our philosophy of nurturing students’ cultural and linguistic identities. In addition to our mother tongue languages, most of our students also learn another modern language from our offerings of Arabic, French or Spanish. Lastly, we welcome students new or recent to the English language. We provide an inclusive learning environment through our English Language Support. Every ISL Qatar community member is a learner of multiple languages.
