At GEMS Cambridge International School, Abu Dhabi, we offer an enhanced British National Curriculum. Here are Berliner and Eyre's tips to help your child to fulfil their academic potential. Eyre and Berliner explain the latest neurological and psychological research shows most children are capable of reaching the high levels of performance previously associated only with the gifted and talented. They stress that IQ and potential isn't fixed - evidence shows it can be grown, and the key is developing the right learning attitudes and attributes. The vast majority of children could do really well at school, but unless parents play their part and help them learn the habits of high performance, they're far less likely to get there.
The school features nine fully-equipped, state-of-the-art science laboratories and seven computer (ICT) suites, with computer access also available in the libraries. Every classroom and break out area is connected to our extensive commuter wireless networking enabling students to access ICT in any area of the school.
Beyond the development of skills, our sporting facilities support students in their goals of leading healthy and active lifestyles. The quality and investment evident at the school’s playing facilities reflects the importance the GEMS places on both individual and team sports. All learners have access to 25m swimming pool, a beginner pool, brand new library, cricket nets and playing fields, that complement the indoor sports areas and multi-purpose halls. A separate, well-equipped playing area is available for learners in Foundation. 2 of my Children went to GEMS Cambridge International Abu Dhabi. I must say, Fantastic School! Fantastic Teachers and Fantastic Team!!! Now that we have moved to Dubai but my kids still miss the school, teachers and their friends. Miss Socorro Mendoza, Ms Michelle Cronin and Ms Edwina Grehan are the best teachers in FS2 and Year 1.
