The basic architecture of the brain is constructed through an ongoing process that begins before birth and continues into adulthood. Brains are built from the bottom up, first the simpler connections and skills are built which lay the foundation for the complex connections and skills.
The early years of life matter because early experiences affect the architecture of the maturing brain. As it emerges, the quality of that architecture establishes either a sturdy or a fragile foundation for all of the development and behavior that follows --- and getting things right the first time is easier than trying to fix them later. When interpersonal experiences are disruptive, neglectful, abusive, unstable, or otherwise stressful, they increase the probability of poor outcomes. When a young child experiences excessive stress, chemicals are released in the brain that damage its developing architecture.

I find the lessons very informative and i think the format of the lessons are very useful, in the fact that we all have discussions and are able to hear everyone's point of views and thoughts.
Unfortunately i find the lateness in the assignments being marked and returned a bit disheartening, as i would like to know at least with-in a week-ten days my results. Also the fact that we are now going to have another teacher is also a little worrying, as we have now built a good relationship with Samia, just as we had with Lara.
