We believe that all children are unique. We recognise that all children develop differently: some children like active play, some prefer quiet play; some love stories, others love growing things or making things. It’s all ok with us.
Our activities will encourage every child’s inquisitive nature in each area of growth. Your child’s learning will include numeracy, ICT, science, literacy, theatre, rhythm, art and craft, as well as developmental play in our extensive outdoor safe play space with cycle track, kitchen garden and nature area.
Our sunny toddler rooms have been tailored for curious minds to explore their surroundings and develop their senses in an inspiring setting. Interactive displays create a homely and cosy feeling while stimulating toys and messy play promote their sensory development.
Each day will be filled with enjoyment, songs and plenty of laughter, with our highly experienced staff always on hand to provide that extra care.
Our commitment is to provide your child with the opportunity to explore their world in a safe, secure and loving environment and further develop their rapidly expanding skills and activities with plenty of laughter and joy along the way. All our teaching staff are qualified and experienced; we have a fully equipped child’s clinic with a qualified nurse on site at all times as well as a doctor on call to ensure your precious little one is properly cared for.
We are committed to employing and developing high quality, experienced and qualified staff. We invest in regular training and development for all of our team and actively encourage each of them to continue to learn about children and how best to support them. We want our staff to be confident and competent in understanding child development and by ensuring that they keep their ideas fresh and exciting we know we are providing the best experience for you and your child. If you would like to meet our wonderful staff, we'd love you to visit us at the nursery. Just make a quick call to book an appointment so we can make sure someone is free to spend some time with you.
We ensure the welfare of each and every child by providing a secure, safe environment where children are encouraged to be healthy and active learners. We place a strong emphasis on the health and safety of all children and staff and regularly audit our systems and processes. All of our teaching staff are qualified and experienced as we believe this is best for your child. We have a registered nurse on site at all times, and we have an associated Doctor who makes regular visits to the nursery and is always on call. CCTV camera is enabled throughout the premises.
Each room is run by an Early Years qualified member of staff and a trained teaching assistant who will play an essential role in supporting the emotional well-being of your child from nappy changing to rest times and mealtimes. These care routines provide special times to build up secure attachments which underpin your child’s healthy emotional development.
We will support children as they learn to communicate their feelings, encourage them to have a friend and be a friend and help them understand how to adapt to a group setting. Children are encouraged to eat well, to sleep and rest. We work hard to ensure they have a routine but that it is flexible and meets their needs as much as possible.

We believe in fun! The Headstart Curriculum is jam packed with exciting things to do, from music to cooking and gardening to theatre. However, as we know from our own childhood experiences, children learn best through play and active learning balanced with times of quiet and rest. Our staff will plan activities for your child to enjoy on their own or with other children, in the indoor or outdoor environment, according to their age, character and needs.
