Welcome to Oxford Nursery, where “Every child is unique”. Here, we strive to create a nurturing, happy, educational environment for all our children from 3 months to 4 years old, and their families. We follow The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The curriculum sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old, and offers a learning through play approach to teaching. Our staff are passionate and dedicated to inspiring a child’s creativity, independence & self-confidence, to reach his or her full potential, and create everlasting memories.

Our vision is to provide a safe, secure, happy, caring and stimulating environment where children will develop and appreciate their own personality and thrive at their own pace. We will provide an exemplar foundation to improve child’s success in school and their future.

The mission of Oxford Nursery is to foster quality child care and learning experiences for children in a safe and caring environment, helping them develop socially, creatively, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Oxford Nursery strives to promote values and principles, which encompass fairness and honesty appreciating cultural, family, and individual differences.

Our planning and resources are all based around these building blocks to ensure your child follows the EYFS route to be ready and capable of joining mainstream school.Classroom activities are planned to assist the development of individual children through planning of the EYFS. These activities often follow a monthly theme that challenges, inspires, and enables every child to work up to his/her potential within the Early Years Framework.

The nursery is praised widely by ADEK for its academic approach, as well as its attainment.
Standards: Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, Instructional Support and Personal Care Routines are said to be very good, and in some cases outstanding.

We are delighted to share comments from our recent ADEK inspection report with you:

• Teachers and children display very positive and respectful relationships with
  one another.
• All staff actively praised children and children were encouraged to celebrate each other’s achievements.
• Staff showed extended interest in what children create/ do with materials…
• There is sufficient indoor space for children to circulate around the classroom during activities. Light, temperature and ventilation is well controlled and spaces are clean and easy to maintain.

This report is a celebration of the commitment from the whole Oxford family; staff, children and parents and recognises the special relationships that are developed in our nursery.
