The Gulf English School opened in 1993 to meet the need for an educational facility which would provide a broad and balanced curriculum based on the English National Curriculum and also offer an Arabic Language and Islamic Studies programme as authorized by the Supreme Education Council. The school is housed in modern purpose built facilities of a coeducational programme up until Year Five and a segregated programme from Year Six onwards.
From a small beginning in two villas, the school has rapidly developed and now occupies two large modern purpose built premises with all facilities available to educate students to a high standard. The Gulf English School only employs fully qualified teachers of the highest calibre from all over the world. All teachers are fluent and competent English speakers who are experts in their particular field of knowledge and skills. Teachers bring a wide breadth of experience and pedagogical practice and many hold masters degrees or equivalent.
Our school seeks to provide a learning environment which is caring, motivating and supportive allowing all cultures within the GES community to achieve their personal best and to become responsible global citizens. The Gulf English School aims to develop in each student an awareness of his or her intellectual, artistic and recreational potential and an understanding of his or her history. My kid's experience here in Gulf English infant has been one of the best so far here in Doha. The teachers are so vigilant and interactive with kids and my Hajra loves to go to school. The best thing i feel is their open approach, for the class environment and parent's reach to it. The very frequent parent's and school interactive activites build the trust and bond between the two. I wish good luck to all the new comers and hope they will enjoy it too.

My daughter is extremely happy at school. The teachers are knowledgeable, creative and enthusiastic where they support and challenge the children. The school environment is welcoming and caring and has a sense of community. The parent workshops, school trips and school events are always welcomed. My daughter is making good progress at the Gulf English School. The leaders of the school are welcoming, friendly and supportive. They always have time to discuss any concerns regarding my daughter. Gulf English School is a great fit for our daughter. She is in her second year there, and is thriving. The academics are good. She is challenged but not overwhelmed. And there are many opportunities for extra help.
