Our core business is learning. The board curriculum, complemented by an extensive sporting, musical, artistic and dramatic co-curriculum and under-pinned by a strong emphasis on pastoral care, encourages individuals to maximise their potential. Stimulated and challenged by the Malvern experience, we intend for our students more frequently to exceed expectations than simply to meet them. The emphasis on individual achievement has its counterpoint in our encouragement of teamwork, co-operation and services to others. We believe it is important for our students to have a firm commitment to deep-rooted values, and to be flexible, pragmatic and open to new ideas. We aim to build self-discipline, self-confidence, and to develop communication and leadership skills in our students, who will emerge as lively, articulate young adults ready to contribute widely to the global community. Our restaurant provides healthy cooked meals using fresh produce. We have six fully equipped science laboratories, a three-story library and media center, and three dedicated music studios with six peripatetic music practice rooms. We also have a dance studio, a 25m six-lane swimming pool, a beginners’ pool for the Early years, netball and basketball court, a 7-a-side FIFA 2 professional quality all weather surface, a 450-seat theater, food technology and art and design technology workshops. Additionally, there is a medical center, a Cilantro coffee shop and a stunning central piazza.
We currently cater from Pre-Nursery to Sixth Form. We offer the International General Certification of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and internationally recognised pre-university qualification including ‘A’ Levels. In April 2019 the College was given the authorisation to offer the IB Diploma Programme by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organisation) and now offers the IBDP to our pupils.
MCE is academically selective and follows an enhanced form of the English National Curriculum, which has an excellent reputation worldwide. Our emphasis is on learning and how pupils learn, rather than just content. We place a great deal of importance on our pupils’ ability to work collectively, as well as independently, in developing their own thinking. MCE places equal importance on intellectual, personal and social development. We concentrate on four core areas throughout the college: academic excellence; development of the preforming arts, commitment to sport; and engagement within our community. Performing arts will be at the heart of MCE. We intend to provide every pupil with the chance to perform in choirs, orchestras, in groups, as part of an ensemble and individually as soloists. All can expect the appreciation and support of the college community.
Involvement in sport offers tremendous opportunities to develop social and leadership skills, as well as naturally promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle for our students. We will encourage our pupils to participate in the extensive range of sporting co-curricular activities on offer at MCE, whether it be competitive or recreational, in order for them to discover the enjoyment that comes from playing together as a team or participating in an event as an individual. Tournaments and fun sports days will take place on a regular basis. We believe in the benefits of competitive sport where we play to win and give our all, but also learn to accept defeat with dignity and respect befitting a Malvern student.

The school has also, in response to the on-going issue of air pollution, installed a comprehensive air purification system to ensure the very best indoor air quality for our community. Additionally, our dining hall will serve organic produce to offer your child the healthiest environment possible.
However, facilities, while important, are only a part of a school. It is the quality of the people, the teaching and the support staff, which makes a school special.
