At CIPS, we believe that all children should be provided with a strong Green Start foundation to grow into confident and independent adults who have an ingrained respect for themselves, others and the environment. Our learning environment places a child’s learning, health and well-being as first priority. CIPS encompasses highly experienced and well trained staff that is capable to deal with children from different backgrounds and ethics. At CIPS, we emphasize living a green healthy life by recycling and being kind to our earth. We extend our success from parent and teacher involvement in a supportive, confidence-building atmosphere, where early education and care will strive to create kids that are able to make positive changes to their community and the world.

Kids naturally explore and support eco-issues. Our curriculum harnesses this innate nature by emphasizing and educating the children to be more earth friendly. Since all aspects of life and learning can be made more eco-friendly, options for curriculum planning are endless. Some examples we implement at CIPS are recycling of old newspapers, re-using plastic bottles, reducing all hazards and respecting our environment. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit our school’s recycling centre.

CIPS’s Green Start is a dream come true and with the help of our parents, their children and our dedicated teachers we will save our planet, introduce the right values to our kids for a better, more sustainable future. We value families for their bonds and traditions, their commitment to home and community, and their visions for their children’s education. In addition we value our staff for their vision, delight in children, skill, dedication, knowledge and commitment to our families.

Our Green Start preschool facility implements many techniques to ensure our premises reflect our dedication to protect our environment. We use non-toxic techniques both inside and outside the facility; lead and mercury free exterior rubber flooring, high quality and safe outdoor play equipment, wooden furniture and paper from farmed trees, lead free paints and wallpaper, and fire resistant wall partitions. Our interior flooring is made of 100% recycable materials that is sealed with fungi and bacteria sanitized treatment for hygienic purposes. Our materials also reflect this dedication with textbooks that are free of harmful chemicals, cleaning products and tissue paper that are biodegradable, and aromatic organic oil indoor air purifying and refreshing systems. At CIPS we are working towards the International Standardization Organization ISO certificate in education.

CIPS mission is to provide our children with the highest quality education and childcare possible in a warm and friendly environment, offering them a loving home away from home.

At CIPS we provide a green start education in an eco-healthy, environment friendly, clean-air atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, intellectual, creative growth and development of the child as a whole. We combine a structured environment with progressive teaching to promote creativity and individuality.

Our Vision to be a leading institute in Green Start early childhood education. To promote the development of intellectually inspired and environmentally literate children.

Our goal is achieved by developing a daily sense of commitment to our environment by focusing on age appropriate activities that contribute to the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of each child.

CIPS believes in the worth and dignity of each human being and recognizes the supreme importance of good manners and the pursuit of truth, devotion to excellent care, and the nurturance of environmental protection principles. Essential to these goals are the protection of the freedom to learn, to teach and to guarantee a high quality education opportunity and experience for all.

At CIPS we use a child-centered versus teacher-directed approach to allow our preschoolers to learn about the natural world in an atmosphere that allows freedom of choice and movement, early investigations, informal conversations and spontaneous initiation of activities. At CIPS we recognize and support each child’s prior knowledge, skills, attitudes, learning pace, personal traits, interests and goals, and preferred learning styles.

We know the first six years of a child’s life are extremely important to their development. Studies indicate that children who are nurtured and given positive attention during the early years are less likely to develop learning, behavioral, emotional, and health problems. Therefore, we are committed to provide our children with an environment that promotes behavioral, emotional, and educational health by encouraging nurturance and positive attention.

Our staff is dedicated to showing children in this program warmth, kindness and love by frequent cuddling and holding. The children will be exposed to constant verbal stimulation by naming objects and explaining actions.

Activities involving exploring and discovering of floor toys, table toys, story reading, outdoor play, art, music, dramatic play and sports are carried out to allow children to learn and develop skills in the key areas of physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.

Early preschoolers have an amazing amount of boundless energy, an innate sense of curiosity of the world around them and are actively working towards several self-help skills. To harness this energy and curiosity as well as build these skills, we will be introducing potty training, encouraging parallel play, promoting self-feeding with spoons and open cups.

Fostering foundational skills to allow preschoolers to expand their horizons and seek out information by exploring new territory in a supportive secure environment is our number one goal. Our teachers understand that these Stars learn through repetition and provide a variety of hands-on learning activities that allow children to practice and master our curriculum goals.

At this delightful Nursery in Doha, the dedication of the staff has sparked a remarkable growth in my child's love for learning; I couldn't be happier!

We are very pleased that our twins are in such a warm and friendly environment. Every day they are welcomed into a homely atmosphere with lovely people, small class size and lots of fun activities.

I want my children to enjoy learning, not feel pushed into it. Calgary Pre-School provides the kind of caring, small-scale environment, packed with learning opportunities that lets my children feel free to explore. . .not to mention that Calgary's caregivers have helped them become more aware of our vital connections to the bigger web of life that we all depend on. Canada has a reputation for promoting international peace, multi-cultural appreciation and environmental awareness (started the whole reduce/reuse/recycle campaign). Alberta represents the highest in Canadian educational standards and I am happy to see Calgary Pre-School actively supports all of these ideas and my children are having a great time.

CIPS has been a home away from home for our son James, who started school a few days after moving to Doha. The teachers, assistants and all the staff have helped us settle him into the school routine plus help the transition to a new country. He loves going to school, has lots of fun each day, and trying to get him to come home is a problem! The wide variety of activities the school offers in its curriculum, and the way they teach and demonstrate the skills has seen James grow in his confidence, his abilities and also his language skills. We would highly recommend CIPS to any prospective parent, and would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for all their help and support for our family.

Since Callum joined Calgary international pre-school and he has loved it from the first day. The staff are wonderful and he has learned so much in panda class with Ms Laura. The variety of themes every month have really inspired him to learn more and have really given him such a great foundation of learning when he moves into "big school" in September. I would highly recommend Calgary international pre-school to anyone looking for a caring and friendly pre-school for their child. Thank you to all the staff for making education fun!
