Fun First Nursery

We congratulate you, as parents, in your choice of primary care provider for your children in their formative years. We assure you of our dedication towards providing the best in care and services for your child. Whether you are looking to return to work, moving area or whether you just want your child to have fun-filled days of activities and make lots of little friends, then come to Fun First Nursery. Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum as promulgated by the Ministry for Education in England and Wales.

The EYFS is based on principles of ‘inclusion’ which means that Early Year Care providers oppose discrimination and prejudice and welcome all families and children. They provide care and education for a wide range of children in a controlled environment. This enables children to feel safe and supported – thus helping their Learning and Development.

Having said this all the main emphasis is on FUN with regular story times, free play opportunities, arts and crafts activities and musical sessions. Lots of things done at nursery will be messy because tactile sensations are so important at this stage. We will do our best to maintain cleanliness at all times but we can’t always promise that your child will be perfectly clean when you fetch him/her in the afternoon! Playing is hard work, and if a little dirt is spread around, it’s all in a good cause.

At Fun First Nursery, we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where each child is valued as an individual, with different needs and expectations. Developmental milestones and advancement will be achieved through structured and planned activities where children can learn through play using first-hand experience. Our Staff are well qualified Early Years Practitioners with Pediatric First Aid and child protection training. Fun First Nursery runs from 06:30am till 4.00pm every day from Sunday to Thursday. We run a Late Pick-Up Programme from 2.30pm-4.00pm. Our doors open at 6:30am and close every day at 4:00pm and there will be no supervision before or after these times. We are proud of all of our staff who are well qualified & experienced early years practitioners with Pediatric First Aid and child protection training.

Fun First Nursery encourages healthy eating habits. Parents’ cooperation is essential to establish such habits by sending healthy snacks with your child to the nursery. At this crucial developing stage, your child needs a certain amount of nutrients per day. Please resist sending sweets, chocolates and potato chips to the nursery.
