The ETC began in 2001. We operate under EpiscoCare – a Christian NGO. We are also part of the Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa. Our main centre is located in Maadi – a suburb south of Cairo. We have a vision of showing God’s love by empowering individuals who otherwise would not have opportunity for development. Cairo is an international destination and Maadi attracts many foreigners. Studying at the ETC is an International Experience.
The ETC offers English and Arabic courses in a friendly, yet professional, environment. Arabic for guests in our country to help them integrate. English for all Egyptians and others who want to improve their job prospects and connect with the wider world. What makes the ETC different from the many Language Schools in Cairo?
We have been teaching Arabic in a contemporary style since 2001. We have a good reputation locally, and have helped thousands of nervous, new foreigners to acclimatise into Egypt’s wonderful culture. We have a variety of nationalites and a range of organisations who have decided after quality experiences with the ETC to return again and again.
We operate a rolling class schedule – when we have 3 students we start the class. Register your interest and you’ll be in the next class. The ETC is situated in Maadi opposite a Metro Station and can be easily reached from all across Cairo. We have 8 air conditioned classrooms.
The ETC English Department offers courses from beginner to advanced level. We aim to offer affordable education to people from all nationalities and backgrounds. We seek to improve all of our students’ confidence, fluency and accuracy in speaking, reading, listening and writing English. These classes take place in Maadi only. Most classes take place in the evenings, from Sunday to Wednesdays. We employ native speakers of English who come from a variety of countries and backgrounds but all seek to create a lively and friendly learning environment.
As you consider teaching with us please bear in mind that: We are not a profit making organisation – we cannot offer large salaries. We are a Christian centre, and if you see working with us as ‘service’ – with some pocket money, you might have a clearer picture!
Teachers coming from the west who have a Christian heritage should be aware that in Egypt a much higher standard of morality and ethical lifestyle is expected. Even the style of of your clothing. For this reason we do expect staff to adhere to Egyptian Christian values – not those of the west!

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
This is truly a great place to study. The staff are friendly, the teachers are well trained, and the price is good! Go and see!
