Summit International Schools is a K-12 American curriculum school. From KG1-12, we are aligned with the California Common Core. KG1 and KG2 follow an Early Childhood “learn through play” curriculum. The school recently completed a state-of-the-art campus comprising four buildings including a swimming pool, segregated play areas, and a multi-use gymnasium and theater. Summit International Schools is co-educational in grades K-4 and separated by gender in grades 5-12

SIS is a leader in technology and sustainability that uses a blended learning approach to encourage all students to become independent learners. Learning resources are mainly online through various learning platforms. SIS uses external and internal assessments and adaptive software to determine individualized learning paths for every Climber on Mount Summit. Students throughout the school participate in Performance-Based Assessments as a means to demonstrate a deeper understanding of their subjects.

Summit International Schools (SIS) opened in August of 2013. It is one of the few schools still located in a very desirable centralized location in Abu Dhabi City. At its founding, SIS was a Request for Proposal (RFP) private international school using an American curriculum under the auspices of the Virginia Department of Education Standards of Learning. SIS has since moved to the Advanced track of both the Ministry of Education (UAE) and the California Common Core (USA). We not only prepare students for graduation, we prepare them for higher learning and beyond. The tuition for SIS is classified as a “good value” (intermediate) tier. The population (1400+) of students represents 51 countries with a great diversity of Middle Eastern, Asian, Pacific Rim, and Slavic expats with a typical middle-class income for the area. Our staff also represents geographic and ethnic diversity that spans more than 20 countries of the world.

Summit International Schools follows the State of California Common Core Curriculum and all high school graduates meet and/or exceed the State of California’s college entrance requirements. The school has an international teaching staff, ranging from native Arabic speakers to native English and French speakers, thus ensuring that our pupils receive an education which is commensurate with the standard of our International council membership.

Our teachers from KG to Grade 12, are qualified and experienced people, who show a high level of commitment, not only to our pupils but to the school as a whole. It is our aim to support the teaching faculty in the optimum delivery of curricula, by providing in-service development days on a regular basis throughout the academic year. Summit International School is dedicated to ensuring every climber achieves academic success by providing a top-notch and rigorous education that equips them to excel and lead in a competitive global society.

We know our climbers’ journey to academic excellence requires the guidance and support of effective instructional leaders committed to providing students with individualized learning pathways as they climb #tothetop daily.
