The CPA credential is a license issued by one of the 55 states or territories of the United States through their board of accountancy. One component of the licensing requirement is the uniform CPA examination administered by the American institute of certified public accountants (AICPA).

How will I be assessed?

The CPA exams are made up of a mixture of MCQ's, task based simulations and written questions. The pass mark for the CPA exams is 75%. Exams can be taken during the following four testing windows: January/February; April/May; July/August; October/November. The exams can be taken at authorized test centres in Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon and the UAE.

Entry Requirements

  • A four year Bachelor's degree inaccounting, finance or business
  • A minimum of 120 credit hours to be eligible to take the CPA exams
  • A minimum of 150 credit hours and 1â€'2 years relevant work experience to apply
  • for a CPA license
  • A minimum of 15 semester hours in Accounting and 2
