IELTS General Training Preparation

Course Description:

The IELTS General Training is often required if you plan to emigrate or work temporarily in an English speaking country. Future Target Institute offers comprehensive IELTS preparatory classes. These are aimed at imparting a comprehensive set of skills essential for the IELTS examination. All four modules of the test: Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing are judiciously covered, with group and one-on-one teaching sessions; so you may achieve your dream bands in IELTS.

Certification:

IELTS Certification is provided by the British Council and IDP IELTS Australia only after appearing for the exam and receiving your result. Future Target Institute offers only the preparatory course for IELTS.

Learning Outcomes:

• Learn how to write informal, semi-formal and formal letters.
• Learn how to write a discursive or opinion essays.
• Learn how to read and interpret English texts on a variety of topics.
• Answer comprehension questions on written texts as found in the IELTS test.
• Learn how to identify specific information and infer point of view in written tests.
• Take part in discussions confidently and practice the speaking skills required in the IELTS test.
• Learn how to take accurate notes from (dialogue and monologue) recordings of native-English speakers.
• Listen to a variety of speech types of the kind used in the IELTS test.

• Students learn how to listen, find the correct answers and write them quickly. Each student is trained in listening to the audio recordings and taking notes at the same time.
• Students are provided practice in scanning and finding answers in Reading Passages quickly. They are made to paraphrase and recognize paraphrased answers.
• Each student is coached to prepare speeches on a variety of topics and later made to deliver them quickly and fluently.
• Students are made aware of the traps and hurdles which appear in the exams, and guided on how to avoid them.
• They are made to build on their existing vocabulary and helped in developing a wider range.
• IELTS candidates who score below par in the Diagnostic Test would need to take a Foundation Course in English prior to attempting the IELTS.
