Polyglot Language Institute

Owner of the Polyglot Language Institute in Dubai , founded in 1969 under Licence Number 1 for Language Schools in the UAE. The Institute is owned by the managing director, Mr. Mohamed AlMawed, who has been concerned with the management of the school since as early as 1973. He directs a dedicated team of Arab, British and European teachers, each of whom is fully qualified and experienced in his particular field of teaching.

The name “Polyglot” (speaking many languages) and the Arabic logo meaning “Peace through mutual understanding” represent the ideas of the Polyglot Schools throughout the world. That is, the belief that language training can help to bridge the gap between people and lead to greater tolerance and understanding in the world. Equally important in today’s world of computer technology and internet communication is the language of computers and the role played by computer training in that vision of mutual understanding. Hence our commitment to the quality teaching of languages and secretarial and computer skills.

It is widely known that English is one of the most important and well-known languages in the world. one of the reasons why the English language is universal, is because its spoken as a first language in several countries. In addition, English is used for business, tourism, and higher education purposes as well as other industries. Here at Polyglot, we provide English courses catering to all kinds of candidates of all ages in a variety of programs.

The English course we offer at this institution are scheduled as an eight-week course, which is the equivalent of 48 hours per-course. Classes are held weekly from Saturday to Wednesday, 6 hours per week. Each course follows a course book and covers spoken and written skills in English. Emphasis is placed on the development of communicative skills and conversation. Students may register on any day of the week and are given an assessment test to determine their level of English.
