The new round of the Publishers Training in Abu Dhabi commences this week reinforcing the Abu Dhabi Authority of Culture and Heritage and Kitab’s commitment to professionalising the publishing sector and creating more opportunities for the publishers.
These platforms offer the opportunities for publishers to network and be introduced to international best practices increasing their potential to of doing business with their international counterparts. A group of 30 enthusiastic publishing professionals will join the second round of the much acclaimed Publishers Training commencing from 7 – 11 November in Abu Dhabi at the NYU campus. Delegates will be joining us from Tunisia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Nigeria, Malaysia, Cyprus as well as UAE.
Kitab in collaboration with the NYU-School of Continuing and Professional Studies – Center for Publishing, is looking forward to hosting this four-day series of seminars led by experienced executives in the international publishing industry.
Delegates will benefit from speakers drawn from the faculty of the NYU-School of Continuing and Professional Studies – Center for Publishing who will be in Abu Dhabi for the week. All lecturers are leading executives in major global publishing companies and at the forefront of new developments in their fields.

• Digital Publishing: Resources and Potential for the Arab Region
• Digital Media for Publishing Profit

The November sessions are being held on the back of the two successful publishers training sessions held in summer and fall of 2009. Kitab also has an extensive Professional Programme which is organised under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and aims to raise the bar for the region’s emerging publishing industry whilst professionalising the publishing community and offering them state-of-art knowledge, professional confidence and a platform to network with international publishers.
The 2011 Abu Dhabi International Book Fai will be held from 15 – 20 March at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
