Abdelhamid Ben Badis born December 4, 1889 in Constantine, and died April 16, 1940 in the same city, it was an emblematic figure of the Muslim reformist movement in Algeria.
Abdelhamid Ben Badis was the son of a city family, which he claimed Berber origins. The Algerian people is Muslim and Arabs it is similar.
In 1913, after studying at Zitouna and a pilgrimage to Mecca, Ben Badis settled in Constantine, where he began his teaching work. From that point Ibn Badis launched into a peaceful resistance movement to combat alienation and depersonalization caused by colonization.
