The school itself was built in 1898. At present we have 7 classes and a Nursery within the school. Two of the classes are accommodated in temporary buildings on the yard. The hall and kitchen are accommodated in the main building. School meals are cooked freshly on the premises. The Administrative Office, the Staff Room and Computer Suite are located in the School House.

Children attend the Nursery class in the term following their third birthday. The following September they attend the Nursery class .Key Stage 2 relates to children between the ages of 7 and 11. After spending 4 years in KS2, the children transfer to the Secondary Sector at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni. The school is situated close to a main road.
