With this in mind, Dubai Pharmacy College was set up in 1992 by the sharp vision of Founder and Chairman , Haji Saeed Al Lootah. The principal Pharmacy College in the Gulf locale solely committed to teach yearning Muslim ladies in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, is licensed by the Commission of Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. The courses offered are:

With a diverse student body representing over 30 countries worldwide, our programs are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Education, UAE. At DPCG, we provide a nurturing environment for a well-rounded education, facilitated by highly qualified faculty from diverse backgrounds.

Continuously striving for excellence, our Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) program has received international accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in the United States, ensuring the highest standards of education.

The BPharm program extends over four and a half academic years and our Master of Pharmacy program in Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm), spans a study period of two years. We also offer certificate courses in regulatory affairs and other relevant specialty areas.

Driven by a career-focused, competency-based curriculum, our students undergo intensive Professional Practice Experience (PPE) in leading hospitals, primary healthcare centers under the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Ministry of Health (MOH) and Emirates Health Services (EHS), pharmaceutical industries, and community pharmacies.

Mission

DPC is resolved to give licensed pharmacy training at undergrad and graduate level to female students in light of Islamic qualities, progression of pharmaceutical information through research and group benefit so as to serve pharmacy sector, scientific group and community.

Admission Requirements for B. Pharm

Candidates from a secondary school working under the U.A.E. educational syllabus must have:

  • The UAE Secondary School Certificate – Science Stream (or proportionate) is required with a normal score of at least 80%.

In case that you originated from a secondary school working under an International educational syllabus, you must have:

  • 12 years of school in Science Stream (or comparable) with a base of at least 80%.
  • Equivalency record for a High School Certificate acquired abroad from UAE Ministry of Education.

Extra Requirements:

Students of GCSE/IGCSE educational programs should have finished 5 subjects (Biology or Human Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Math or add Math or Statistics, and Physics) at the standard level with no less than 2 B's and 3 C's evaluations, in addition to two subjects (Biology and Chemistry) at the GCE Advanced Subsidiary or Advanced level with no less than 1 B and 1 C grade.

Students of International Baccalaureate Diploma should have finished six subjects with three at the standard level and three at the more elevated amount with least 30 certificate points (identical grade of 80%) satisfying the following compulsory courses prerequisite:

  • Standard or Higher level Math
  • Standard or Higher level Biology
  • Standard or Higher level Chemistry

English Language Proficiency Requirement:

A candidate is required to satisfy any of the accompanying requirements for admission:

  • A candidate should have a minimum of 61 out of 120 on the Internet Based Test (IBT) TOEFL
  • A candidate should have a minimum test score of 41 on the Cambridge English Advanced (CAE)
  • A candidate should have a minimum of 5.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS-Academic)
  • A candidate should have a minimum test score of B1 First Class Pass on the City and Guilds IESOL
  • A candidate should have a minimum a score of 36-46 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTEA)

Candidates should note that the TOEFL PBT is not recognized.

M.Pharm Admission Requirements

Admission to the Graduate School depends on scholarly capabilities as indicated in the description underneath. The entrance requirements include:

  • The candidate must hold a degree in B. Pharm.
  • The candidate should have obtained at least a minimum CGPA of 3 on a scale of 4.0 or its proportionate

English language expertise prerequisite:

  • The candidate should have obtained at least a score of 79 out of 120 on the Internet Based Test (IBT) TOEFL.
  • The candidate should have obtained at least a score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS-Academic)
  • The candidate should have obtained at least a test score of 52 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE). Exceptions are:
    • A local speaker of English who has finished her undergrad training in an English-medium establishment and in a nation where English is the official dialect;
    • A candidate with an undergrad qualification from an English-medium establishment who can give confirmation of obtaining a base TOEFL score of 500 on the Paper-Based test, or its equal on another state administered test acknowledged by the Commission, at the time of admission to her undergrad program. To be qualified for this exclusion you more likely than not should finished your studies close to two years before the beginning of the postgraduate degree program for which you are applying.
  • The entry eligibility requires the candidates to pass an interview.
  • Applications are at first investigated by the school and candidate will be required to report for an interview. Ultimate decision rests with the school, which, subsequent to considering the proposal of the department concerned, will tell the candidate of the choice.

The professors care about the students and genuinely want each student to succeed and learn. The programs are rigorous and thorough, and there are plenty of student resources available. Additionally, DPC has an excellent academic reputation and is in good community standing, making it easier as a healthcare student to be able to access learning and shadowing opportunities in the surrounding area.
