Develop the organisational and leadership skills you need to manage projects and people. This degree, delivered 100% online through Study Interactive, covers integral planning concepts such as the project life cycle, financial planning and risk analysis. You will also study cross-cultural management, preparing you to deal with cultural issues than can affect projects. Having learnt the essential tools and methods of project planning, you will then be asked to evaluate these techniques. So that you can relate all this to real-life business situations, you will scrutinise the project planning of an organisation and make suggestions for improvements.

Entry Requirements

UK undergraduate degree or equivalent any subject area, English levels 5.5 IELTS (5.5 in all bands)or equivalent, Relevant work experience is an asset, but no work experience is required. Students who fail to meet academic requirements can be assessed on their relevant work experience (3 years management experience minimum for mature study route). Start dates is Every 12 weeks.

Strategic Management and Leadership, Corporate Reporting, Performance Management and Control, Research Methods.

Stage III

Online Dissertation and Research Methods. Prepare yourself for the challenges of leadership in a project-orientated organisation. This module will equip you with vital management skills and the ability to oversee a wide range of projects. On successful completion of the module, you will be able to:

  • Assess the project life cycle and alternative approaches to managing projects.
  • Describe how effective leadership, planning and implementation lead to successful project management.
  • Evaluate the current project management practices and leadership styles in an organisation, and propose ways to improve these practices.
  • Discuss the criteria for measuring successful performance of a given project and the impact leadership can have on project outcomes.
  • Examine and apply the appropriate approaches, tools and techniques to project planning, monitoring, control, evaluation, risk analysis and risk management of a given project.

This module will teach you how having a diverse workforce can influence management and organisations as a whole. You will learn to recognise which situations could be affected by cultural differences and how to overcome any issues. On successful completion of the module, you will be able to:

  • Explore the idea of culture and its relevance to everyday business practices.
  • Appraise the foremost theoretical approaches to cross-cultural management.
  • Using these theories, suggest solutions to problems triggered by cultural diversity.
  • Outline how differences in culture and language can affect business communication.
  • Assess the implications of worldwide communications for disparate cultures.
