Learn how cultural differences in staff can lead to difficulties for organisations, including individual biases and assumptions. You will also cover solutions to such problems, preparing you for cross-cultural management. On successful completion of the module, you will be able to:

  • Debate the concept of culture and approaches to the study of culture, exploring appropriate uses within management and business.
  • Analyse the principle approaches to cross-cultural management.
  • Use these approaches to examine problems caused by a diverse workforce, and recommend suitable courses of action.
  • Evaluate the implications of variations in culture and/or language for business communication.
