Diploma Management & Leadership

The aim of this course is to provide a firm platform for the professional and personal development of operational managers, through the acquisition of knowledge and skills that will enhance their managerial capability. The course will focus on the practical application of a range of management perspectives and their underpinning theoretical concepts, coupled with an exploration of a range of principles used to guide management thinking.

Aims

This programme aims to provide learners with a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management which will lead to Membership of CMI (MCMI). The programme will give you all the key skills and competencies you'll need to become an effective middle manager. You will develop middle management skills and have the opportunity to link theory to practice to enable you to develop your individual and organisational performance.

Teaching & assessment

Your weekly sessions will be a mix of lectures and seminars. You will be taught the theory and you will have the opportunity to explore some of the models in group activities.

Interview Instructions

You will be invited into the College for an interview following your application. You may choose to have your interview on the telephone. The interview will last approximately 20 minutes.

Entry Criteria

Ideally, you will be working as an operational manager and you will be responsible for managing people or projects. You will hold English and maths at GCSE or equivalent.
