Advanced Diploma Accounting
The course introduces more complex accounting tasks such as preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships from a trial balance. It also covers decision making for management by analysing the costs and revenues of a business and introduces accounting for VAT. If you are aged 16-19 and wish to complete this qualification, you must do so as part of an apprenticeship programme. This qualification is designed to enable you to master complex accounting disciplines, including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants.
You will complete five computer-based examinations throughout the academic year. These are set and marked by the AAT.
You will be invited into the College for an informal interview.
As a minimum you must have successfully completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate.
