Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship Operations or Departmental Manager (CMI)

This qualification is ideal for managers who are able to input into strategic planning, delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, talent management and supporting individuals through coaching and mentoring. This qualification is ideal for Middle Managers, Operations Managers, Divisional Managers, Store Managers, Heads of Departments or specialist managers. Ideally, those managers who are able to input into strategic planning, delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, talent management and supporting individuals through coaching and mentoring.

This new CMI programme will lead to Membership of CMI (MCMI). The qualification can be funded through the apprenticeship and the fee is dependent on whether your employer pays the levy or not. The typical duration of the programme is 18 months to include the endpoint assessment, however, it could be completed within 15 months.

You will complete the following units:

• Principles of Leadership Practice
• Managing Finance
• Managing Change
• Managing Project to achieve Results
• Conducting a Management Project
• Managing Stakeholder Relationships
• Creating and Delivering Operational Plans
• Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success.

Teaching & assessment

A range of teaching and assessment activities will be delivered during the sessions, including:

• Lectures
• Group work
• Individual activities
• Interactive exercises
• Presentations.

Interview Instructions

You will be invited to interview following a successful application. You will be invited to an induction on the 12 September to the apprenticeship programme.

Entry Criteria

Ideally, you will hold Level 2 English and maths but if not these can be completed during the programme. It would be beneficial for you to be working in a middle managers role or working towards this.
