Master of Intelligence with the degree of Master of Counter Terrorism
Changes to society and technology have increased our vulnerability to terrorist attacks and have given unprecedented power to terrorists. Good intelligence and intelligence analysis has never been more important than it is now. To defend themselves, governments and businesses need analysts who have the knowledge, skills and creativity to understand the dynamic and complex systems that terrorists are leveraging. Specialists in both counter terrorism and intelligence are in demand by the Australian Government and private sector, including in corporate intelligence.
Our practice-oriented double degree course will prepare you with the ability to analyse and design strategies and policies to address domestic, regional and international counter terrorism and intelligence challenges.
Part of what makes Macquarie future focused is that we allow you the freedom to explore your interests across a range of areas, rather than lock you in to a single, narrow field. So follow your passions and tailor your course to your needs and interests.
Units are what we call subjects. Most full-time students take four units – each worth a fixed number of credit points – per session.
Most postgraduate courses require a successfully completed Australian bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution and may also require a specific grade point average (GPA). Our admissions team will determine whether your qualification meets the requirements.
