If the sewing machine fascinates you but you have never had a go at it, then this is the course for you. It takes you through the use and maintenance of the sewing machine, and various projects that will help you to learn to sew in straight lines, turn corners, attach lace and elastic, attach the binding, and zippers, as the course progresses. You will receive a PDF pattern for each project you do, to help you practice at home.
Students need to bring with them a basic sewing kit, while pre-cut fabric and sewing machine will be provided in the class.
This 3-day sewing class will have the following projects:
Students will need to carry a small sewing kit which should include a sharp pair of scissors, sewing threads (black, white, beige, grey), tailoring pins, thread snip, seam ripper, sewing needles, and pin cushion (optional). Sewing kit items can also be purchased from the instructor for an additional fee of 50 AED.
Fabric and sewing machine will be provided for use during the class
