This workshop is aimed at those interested in learning how a laser cutter works and how to use it to cut, engrave and personalize any object made out of acrylic. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to etch or cut your name or a chosen pattern on acrylic and to bend and join acrylic to create a simple structure.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, you will be eligible to become a member of the community and be granted access to the bending tools, acrylic adhesives as well as the laser cutting equipment in the makerspace.
Participants can optionally (not required) bring their laptop with a pre-installed free 2D design and slicing software (e.g. Inkscape or 123D Make)
