In the kids cooking programme, young chefs learn a range of basic and advanced skills, alongside etiquette and hygiene in a fun and friendly environment. They will get introduced to the fundamentals of baking & cake making, Mediterranean mezze as well as Italian, Japanese and Thai cuisine, all under the supervision of professional chefs.
Course Plan
- Session 1: Intro to the Kitchen (Knife Skills, potato leek soup, Olivier salad, berries Napoleon)
- Session 2: Breakfast (pain perdu, crepes, scrambled eggs, mushroom omelet)
- Session 3: Starters (bruschetta, mini quiche, croquette)
- Session 4: Bread (french bread + burger, pizza, garlic cheesy knots/challah)
- Session 5: Pasta (spaghetti, ravioli, tomato, sauce)
- Session 6: Desserts (strawberry pannacotta, mango mousse, no-bake cheesecake)
- Session 7: Pastry (apple crumble, fruit tart, poached pears)
- Session 8: Potato (dauphinoise, rosti, shepherd's pie)
- Session 9: Mains (breaded chicken, chicken roulade & risotto)
- Session 10: Chocolate (mousse, truffles, tart)
- Session 11: Cakes (buttercream, chocolate cupcakes, Victoria sponge, coulis)
- Session 12: Middle East (muhammara, fatteh, hummus, fattoush)
- Session 13: Italy (gnocchi, lasagne and strawberry tiramisu)
- Session 14: Asia (Nem spring rolls, sushi, wasabi crème Brulee)
Additional Info
- Upon completion participants will receive a SCAFA certificate attested by KHDA for an additional fee of AED 100 (optional)
- The sessions can start in a different order depending on the selected schedule
