This 20-hour course is for anyone who has a general interest in learning American Sign Language. You will get an insight into the culture of the deaf/hard of hearing community and learn the various signs for making simple conversation. This class helps you to build a broad vocabulary which includes finger spelling, family, numbers, and words that you can use in everyday situations. The students are engaged in small group and pair work to practice and develop basic communicative skills.
