Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
I was a small town football player type that was an academic underachiever. Smart enough to get into UW but never pushed. Graduated with BS degrees in Econ and Industrial Eng. For whatever reason the total combination has worked everywhere I've been. I realize I'm working with people who are probably better at their job than I could ever do it,but lack a big picture common sense. The most disarming thing to do to build a team is to be totally honest about your expectations and capabilities.

Madison is fantastic. The classes are hard but rewarding. Lots of future choices for students coming out of UW Madison. The social scene is the best for College towns that I have been to. There is always something going on whether it be sports, concerts, or gigantic assemblages of people. I recommend it to everyone I know, most people in Wisconsin wish they could go here, just not everyone can make it in. Great school.

UW-Madison is truly a world-class institution consisting of incredible faculty and students. This school has so much to offer and so much to do. The workload allows you to develop both intellectually in and out of the classroom. With over 700 student organizations and along with top-notch Big Ten athletics you are sure to find something that you are passionate about. Although UW-Madison does lack in diversity, it's open-minded student body more than makes up for it. Fellow students are very friendly and welcoming. Wanting to get away from home I had intended on attending the University of Texas or USC, but because of financial reasons I decided to stay in-state. I can honestly say it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would recommend this University to anyone who cares deeply about developing academically and socially.

I am from California and decided to go here and it is the best decision i ever made. Our school is so much fun, always something to do, fun college town, huge sports with the best tailgating, good frat parties/ apartment/house parties, good bar life=easy to get into, you will never be bored on weekends. Classes are not too hard as long as you check ratemyprofesor.com before hand. This school is academically well known, and a party school! wut more could you want?

Looking back over the years it becomes clear that college is indeed as transforming as it is often heralded. By opening up to all that an academic setting can offer at a large school such as UW, one can gain insight into people, careers, & scholarly learning.
Like most alumni I look back at my years at UW with great fondness. Not only for the good times, the friends, and the tear gas, but for the platform it provided upon which to build a career and a view of the world around us.

I transferred here from another school, and let me tell you, UW-Madison is amazing. It offers anything you could ever want, and then some. Not only that, but I know when I graduate my degree will carry a lot of weight due to how well known and well respected the University is throughout the nation. If you're an in-state student, there really isn't any better choice, and even for out-of-state students tuition is a bargain compared to private schools and even other state schools. The school really has everything you could ask for, stellar academics, an amazing party atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet lifelong friends. Being here has really made me happy, so take all these things into consideration, and On Wisconsin!

UW-Madison is consistently ranked as one of the best public universities in the country, and rightfully so. It combines the assets and resources of a large university with the personal touch of a smaller school. The city is a very livable, enjoyable place to be.

I was extremely happy with my experience at Madison. I had a wonderful advisor and took interesting and challenging courses. The campus is beautiful and I felt a strong sense of community there. I am proud to be a Badger!

Professors are accommodating and a very helpful resource in your academic endeavors. There is a reason UW-Madison was ranked Playboy's #1 party school and that Madison is consistently ranked in the top 10 cities to live. Varsity sports are great and every game is competitive. There are numerous intramural and the gyms are above average. Course work is related to what you are learning and, in the engineering department, is design focused. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the math department; in 4 courses, I only had one professor who's primary language was English. UW is definitely a research university and as such has good labs. Some section of the University is always under construction, buildings are always being improved.
