CompEx Ex01-04 Gas & Vapors

The course is intended to give awareness to the candidate with regard to working in explosive atmospheres formed by gases, vapours & mists. It covers basic elements of application design as well as a more detailed review of the specific requirement for equipment selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in explosive atmospheres. The course will give an understanding and awareness of the requirements of working safely in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
As the persons attending the course are predominately practitioners, the course covers elements of the installation requirements from a practical viewpoint. This includes but is not limited to electrical protection concepts, selection of equipment, cabling and cable glands etc.

• EX01: The preparation & installation of Ex 'd', 'n', 'e' and 'p' apparatus in potentially explosive gas atmospheres.
• EX02: The maintenance and inspection of Ex 'd', 'n', 'e' and 'p' apparatus in potentially explosive gas atmospheres.
• EX03: The preparation & installation of Ex 'i' apparatus in potentially explosive gas atmospheres.
• EX04: The maintenance and inspection of Ex 'i' apparatus in potentially explosive gas atmospheres.

Eligibility / Requirements

Individuals planning to attend this training must have at least 3 - 5 years of experience in the inspection and installation field in explosive atmospheres.If the above is not met, it is highly recommended the individual attends CompEx ExF Foundation course before attempting this course.
