The UPV is a public, dynamic and innovative institution that is dedicated to researching and teaching. The UPV maintains strong bonds with its social environment and a strong presence abroad.

Our vocation as a service results from our commitment to society. We provide our students with the knowledge they need to be able to work as graduates in their professional field, and we offer them an all-round education where they acquire technological skills, as well as a humanistic and cultural education.

We train people and we train professionals because we believe it is our duty to give our students not only knowledge but also experience. By so doing we believe that we are helping them to become free, responsible people who are aware of social problems, are capable of taking on commitments and have prospects for the future. The teaching and administrative staff engaged by the UPV work to offer our students the high quality education they need.

The Rector is the highest academic authority at the University and, as such, he represents the UPV in all sorts of official acts and transactions. He is responsible for the government and management of the University, develops the lines of action previously approved by the collegiate bodies and carries out their agreements. The Rector is also responsible for all competences not expressly conferred on other government bodies.

Universities are called to play a fundamental role in this "knowledge intensive society" in which we are immersed. A more dynamic society than ever before, where the capacity to adapt becomes more and more necessary. In order to adapt successfully, it seems essential that what is needed is a mediated and tiered reorientation of our capabilities towards the necessities of tomorrow.

The Universitat Politècnica de València is an institution with the capacity to take a lead in these changes and the meeting of the demands which face us, characteristics which underline its great value but which also mean the adoption of specific organisational and functional processes, all of which justified the need to draw up a new Strategic Plan, as a tool for the management of the institution, the definition of lines of action, and to support decision-making.

Planning guarantees flexibility in the face of change, a guarantee of coherent evolution, both for our own internal operations and equally to ask of society what we consider fair for the University. If we are to request in a coherent way the role which the University deserves to play and the treatment it must receive, it requires that each and every one of its members puts in the day to day effort, in order to do a good job to the best of our abilities.

The 2015-2020 Strategic Plan was drawn up in two phases: firstly, the mission, vision and shared values of the university community, which must characterise our institution, were specified; secondly, a strategy concerning the basis of the challenges and projects was defined, duly accompanied by the deadlines and timescales and by a framework of responsibility and indicators connected to its accomplishment, all of this to ensure that it is in line with the corresponding annual budget.

It is conceived with a philosophy of continual review. It is a dynamic document which will be revised each year, and which specifies the schedule of action for each year, given that both the institution and the society it serves are immersed in a permanent process of change, which will no doubt alter the current circumstances in which the Plan was developed.

The Universitat Politècnica de València educates people in order to enhance their skills; researches and generates knowledge, with the assurance of quality, rigor and ethics, in the fields of science, technology, art and business, with the aim of furthering the integral development of society and contributing to its technical, economic and cultural progress.

Very improvable offer of degrees. Very old-fashioned study plan in some of their careers. Good facilities

Best university in Valencia. All students are highly educated. With international prestige Schools with good ranking in Spain and the world. They come out better trained than in other countries and then find work easily because they are cheaper and better trained. Buneas facilities and very large Campus. Prequeña university city.

Best University of Valencia definitely. Very good sports facilities and classrooms. Very fond memories of paellas that were organized for years in which the most normal thing was that all students should get drunk and we do not tendieramos in parts of the lawn to give us the win. Not like now that there is so much control over people.

Very good and nice college. science careers mainly taught, but you can also find Fine Arts and the Conservatory of Music. With green fields and large facilities and laboratories. Ideal to spend the best years of student ?

Amazing with all kinds of facilities and services, you can do everything without leaving the perimeter. It's like a small town fenced. With plenty of green areas and spaces where students exhibit their works. The only downside is the schedule of the library, which to be over and that at exam time is very limited and only open until 4am Student House ... is little, otherwise excellent. It makes the race not so fastidious and is a very pleasant space.

I spent a semester in Erasmus on this campus and can say that is exceptional. It has everything a student could wish for: soundproof study rooms, libraries and computers with sockets available, tennis, athletics, gym, bank, pharmacy, everything and more. Studying here really becomes a pleasure
