People management plays a vital role in any successful organization. With the unprecedented changes happening in the workplace, it has become critical that human resource professionals step up as leaders and business strategists. As a part of this degree, you will develop knowledge and people management skills that are required to manage the most valuable resource in any organization – the human resource!
To ensure that you are ready for a successful and rewarding career, our degree covers several areas such as employee relations, management of change, HR operations, recruitment and selection, strategic human resource management, learning and development, , and occupational health and safety. Further, you will be exposed to current trends and what’s next in the field of HR. In particular, the program ensures graduates are ready for the future of work by providing them the opportunity to participate in industry-based projects and learn about HR practices in the contemporary business context, including human resources operations and strategy, talent acquisition and retention, and the changing role of HR in a digitized context, including role of analytics in HR.
Our Bachelor of Business major in Human Resource Management degree (previously known as Bachelor of Commerce: Human Resource Management) is accredited by the human resource professional body Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and graduates will become Associate Member of CIPD upon graduation.
The curriculum would allow students to learn about Responsible Business Management practices in alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Students would also have the opportunity to pursue internship in companies to gain valuable practical experience, enhancing their employability.
Students also have the opportunity to graduate with a double major by choosing one more specialisation from the list of specialisations offered under Bachelor of Business. Students opting for double major are required to complete an additional 48 cp of subjects from the second specialisation.

Before joining, he worked for the School of Management at Xiamen University as an assistant professor and Hong Kong University of Science Technology (HKUST) Business School as a post-doctoral fellow.
