Central University of Haryana

Central University of Haryana is a Central University established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 of the Parliament. It is one of the 15 Central Universities established by MHRD, GoI under the XIth Five Year Plan (2007-12). The University is fully funded by the UGC.

Permanent Campus of the University is situated in 488 acres of land at Jant-Pali Villages, Mahendergarh district of Haryana from where CUH is running its academic operations.

The objective of the University shall be

• To disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit;
• To make special provisions for integrated courses in humanities, social sciences, science and technology in its educational programmes;
• To take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching-learning process and inter-disciplinary studies and research;
• To educate and train manpower for the development of the country;
• To establish linkages with industries for the promotion of science and technology; and
• To pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people, their intellectual, academic and cultural development.

Vision:

• To develop enlightened citizenship of a knowledge society for peace and prosperity of individuals, nation and the world, through promotion of innovation, creative endeavours, and scholarly inquiry.

Mission:

• To serve as a beacon of change, through multi-disciplinary learning, for creation of knowledge community, by building a strong character and nurturing a value-based transparent work ethics, promoting creative and critical thinking for holistic development and self-sustenance for the people of India. The University seeks to achieve this objective by cultivating an environment of excellence in teaching, research and innovation in pure and applied areas of learning.

Central University of Haryana Library System is having more than 20866 volumes in various subjects to serve the academic community. We have advanced our web activity with the INFLIBNET subscription of 8500 high quality e-Journals being made available through campus network to teachers, students and research scholars. CUHL also promotes Open Access e-resources. University Library endeavors to further improve all its efforts to facilitate right information to the right users at the right time.

CUH has a well equipped centralized computer centre to cater to the needs of high profile students and faculty in the college. It is housed, in a magnificent state-of-the-art building having specialized laboratories to provide variety of platforms and computing environment for UG, PG and research students. The centre possesses a number of mcahine and over 25 Dell intel core i5 computer systems. The centre is fully networked through high-end intelligent CISCO switch, and possesses round the clock 1 Gbps leased line, connectivity for the academic, administrative and hostel blocks of the campus, with internet facilities on all the nodes.

Sports Report It is indeed a proud to announce that Central University of Haryana has participated in North zone / All India University Games 2016-17 for the first time. The university had shown its presence in Chess, Volley ball (Men and Women), Cricket, Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Athletics and Football. The matches were held in various parts of the country like Hissar, Patiala, Meerut, Rohtak, Delhi, Jalandhar, Chennai, kurukshetra and Punjab. CUH is one among the two central universities participated in All India Inter University Athletics Tournament. University consider this efforts as the primary initiative for the greater success we are going to achieve in the future. Below are the details of participation.

This helps them access online class lectures and assignments posted by teachers and instructions issued by the university.
