Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), Gwalior

Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM) in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is an autonomous institute set by Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 1997. It is an effort by MHRD towards creating professionals in areas of management and information technology from the same institute. This institute was created for facilitating higher education, research, and consultancy in areas of information technology (IT) and business management.

Our long run objective is reflected in our vision which states: "Global excellence in knowledge economy" In pursuance of our vision we have short run mission as guidance:

• Teaching and research with focus on emerging technologies, business process and high-tech solutions in low-tech environment;
• Integrating technologies and management in cross-cultural environments;
• Shaping students innovative, entrepreneurial, supportive, assured and international.

You are certainly aware that India plays a pivotal role in digital world internationally fuelled by her expertise in IT. Taking a cue out of this, IIITM was established by Government of India to synchronize the growing demand for IT and management in unison. IT revolution is a worldwide phenomenon and has led to shrinkage of market and intensification of competition. This is a challenging situation and an opportune moment for those that dare. We in an attempt to accept this challenge have initiated programs to groom technology developers, managers and researchers by ways of offering postgraduate study programs leading to MBA, M. Tech, and Ph.D.

With our vision to achieve global excellence in knowledge economy, each member of the institute is passionate about his or her involvement. The knowledge economy that has emerged internationally needs both managerial and technical skills derived from appropriate training and exposure to real world challenges. We continuously endeavour to transform our vision into action through active participation of both students and teachers in areas of relevance.
