Considering the importance of the cultural and mythological Ujjain state government Abhivrdhn of Sanskrit and ancient science and decided to install the Sanskrit University in Ujjain for dissemination. Maharshi Panini Sanskrit University Act, 2006 (No. 15 of 2008), the 15th of August 2008 'Maharshi Panini Sanskrit University, Ujjain' was established and 17 August 2008 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the then Governor Dr. Chancellor. Balram Jakhar by its duly launched. The program Birla Research Institute, Dewas Road, Ujjain was held.
