Here at Havering College, we aim to deliver high quality education and training that responds to the needs of employers and individuals. The College is the largest Further Education provider of Higher Education in London with over 400 HE learners, 39% coming from disadvantaged areas and 23% progressing internally from level 3 courses. With 7162 students (2728 full-time equivalent) drawn from a wide area covering East London, and the counties of Essex and Kent, 33.9% come from 'disadvantage uplift' postcodes. The proportion of students from minority ethnic groups attending the college is 22.3%, significantly higher than reflected in the local population.

The application process varies depending on the type of Higher Education course you wish to apply for and how you wish to study it. This page concerns all applications for Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diplomas (HNC & HND), Foundation Degrees, Degrees and Postgraduate programmes.

The education is zero. The English course was very expensive...The teachers did not teach anything.:(( I do not recommend anybody.

Good to see that their are some positive stories on here although dont know how many are true. My daughter is just completing a 3 year course that was supposed to be based on Art &Design but has ended up with a 3 year course on how to be bullied and intimidated. If you want to progress in this area look elsewhere. The art department cannot even use the full spectrum of art as it does not have the facilities to cope such as using resins and even spray paint.

I am currently studying hairdressing level 2 in the hairdressing and beauty department . I am really enjoying the course and practical sessions Very excited to see Martyn Holmes coming to the college can’t wait to learn some new things from him!!

I am loving doing hairdressing I'm finding it challenging and exciting and really creative, I love learning about hair and I like that every lesson is different. The tutors have been really helpful and supportive when I have been struggling

I'm doing hairdressing and I absolutely love it!! The tutors are really helpful and I love doing all the practical tasks, we had an excellent trip to the Excel in London to the Hair and Beauty Expo, I have made lots of new friends and I can't wait to come back next year and do Level 3!!!
