The Royal Veterinary College has a dedicated workforce of around 850 employees based at its two sites in central London and rural Hertfordshire. The Royal Veterinary College attracts talented veterinary and biological scientists who work together in interdisciplinary teams. Our research is of the highest quality and has an impact on the health and welfare of humans and animals around the world.
Our approach extends from the molecular level to the whole animal or population of animals. Underpinning research across these themes are animal welfare, biomechanics, genetics, bioinformatics, pathology and epidemiology and public health.
RVC researchers are actively involved in developing and delivering postgraduate programmes at masters and doctoral level. These specialist programmes help develop future researchers and professionals with specialist knowledge who go on to work in industry, government and teaching, both within the UK and internationally.
