We want to welcome the best and most creative students to Dundee but we understand that studying can be quite a financial commitment. That’s why we offer a £5,000 Global Excellence Scholarship for qualified bachelors and masters applicants to help you along the way. To be eligible for the Global Excellence Scholarship, you must formally apply to study at the University of Dundee and receive a conditional or unconditional offer. Instructions on how to apply for the scholarship will follow your academic offer, however as the awarding criteria is based on qualifications, you may be automatically eligible.

We are awarding automatic Global Excellence Scholarships of £5,000 per year of study to our most inspiring applicants. Those who are not successful will also be considered for a one year award of £5,000. If you have demonstrated excellence through your academic, extra-curricular, or voluntary activities, we want to reward you for it.
Scholarships are available for qualified offer holders for bachelors and master’s degree programmes.
We are one of the top UK universities for graduate employment – 96.4% of our graduates were in work or further study six months after graduation (HESA Destination of UK Leavers Survey, 2018). Our careers service is made up of trained, dedicated staff who work very closely with employers and can help you to find a job in the field of your choice.

I studied in University of Dundee from 2008-2009, completed my MSc in Strategic Financial Management. Doing Masters in Scotland was always there in my mind since reading my first article about education in Scotland in one of our local daily. So, then the next big question was which one in Scotland, I always had an interest for Management accounting and after speaking to a lot of people and doing massive amount of research finally decided to submit my application to University of Dundee and got accepted.
Coming to Scotland from India was a big culture change as well as a mental change, but the friendly atmosphere in Dundee made me feel like home. From first day going to University admission to my last day in Dundee university, its been the same welcoming treatment from all the staff members.
Really enjoyed my course and the teaching style as it was very different from how we were used to in India. Would highly recommend the university faculty and the facilities. Our life during the course was mostly in Library or at our department study center but at the end when the results were out all the hard work was paid out.
I got a job in Bank of Scotland immediately after my course and I moved to Glasgow, all the experience I gained at University of Dundee has helped me shape up my career very well.
Currently I live in Dubai with my family.

I studied at Dundee University at its Infancy 1968-1972 graduating in Zoology and subsequently registered at Dundee for my PhD, though field and lab work carried out at the nearby Scottish Crops Research Institute. Subsequently, after 4 years working in Scotland I spent the remainder of my working life in the United Arab Emirates where I ran a couple of small business. During this period I also briefly worked in other parts of the Middle East, Africa and Former Soviet Union mainly as a consultant on insect control.. I am recently retired after nearly four decades in the UAE and living in Edinburgh from where I continue to visit Dundee while also annually to the UAE for a vacation while travelling to our winter home in the Far East..
I look back longingly at my period at Dundee University as one of hard work but also of great fun and enjoyment. The lecturing staff were always helpful and encouraging and welcomed discussion on any points that were of particular interest to myself.
I was also able to maintain an active social life centered on the Student's Union and the various societies I belonged to and particularly one I was involved with which was involved in providing a social meeting point mainly for new overseas students at Dundee University.
I would encourage any foreign student looking to the UK for their education to consider Dundee as a viable option. Such students I knew there were able to integrate well and enjoy their time while studying in Dundee, as I subsequently enjoyed my time in the UAE.

The University of Dundee-Medical School team had a great effect on my success in getting the MSC in Diabetic care, Education & Management. Their experience, knowledge & positive feedback had encouraged me to complete this program. The strength of this MSC program had exceeded its effect not only on enhancing my knowledge & managemnt skills, but also on improving the skills of my staff and the healthcare organization that i was managing through implementing the basics of each module in the working place. Ihope that i can have the chance to get my PHD from University of Dundee.
