We aim to be an outstanding university at which to be a student. We concentrate on helping students achieve their potential, and place great importance on combining enduring human values with true professionalism. We make it clear from the beginning that we have high expectations of our students and staff, and we will offer you every support to achieve that goal.

We are a truly inclusive university where each and every person counts as an individual. As an important member of our dynamic community, you will have every opportunity to thrive and fully realise your potential. Worcester enjoys a national reputation as a very friendly place at which people are genuinely happy and feel that they can make a meaningful contribution.

The assessors, who inspected the educational results for every university in England, found that Worcester “delivers high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students” and “consistently exceeds rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education”. The panel noted that we excel at teaching which encourages high levels of student engagement and commitment to learning and study. Including “excellent levels” of contact time and schemes that involve students in the process of enhancing their own learning experience.

e offer a truly innovative and effective ‘earn as you learn’ scheme, which provides our students with invaluable work experience, career development and earning opportunities. Worcester graduates are consistently among the most employable in the country with over 94.9% in work or continuing to study within six months of graduating. The culture and outlook of the University means we listen very carefully to what students say about their studies and university life generally. Our courses and facilities are continually improved to take advantage of the very latest thinking, technology, evidence and research.

The community spirit we have here at Worcester is renowned. Our staff and students are proud to be working and studying at the University. If you apply to study with us, and are selected, you will be warmly encouraged to become part of a thriving social, cultural and sporting environment. At the same time, you will gain the intellectual and practical skills and qualifications you need to succeed in today’s world.

The University has a well-managed investment programme to provide for new, improved and refurbished facilities. Completed projects include our City Campus, home to the Worcester Business School. The Hive, a joint venture between the University and Worcestershire County Council, provides a first class, inclusive, internationally acclaimed resource for students, staff and the wider community. The University of Worcester Arena offers both state-of-the-art facilities and an exceptional standard of universal accessibility. As well as providing excellent facilities for all areas of sports study, the Arena allows the University to offer unique services to local sport clubs in the community as well as elite and professional athletes.

In its most recent report into the quality of our teaching, the Quality Assurance Agency praised us for our ‘continuous and systematic improvement of the student experience’ and identified our approach to quality enhancement to be a key factor in our good practice. Professor David Green, the University's Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, said: “In recent years the University of Worcester has consolidated its excellent national reputation for academic quality on our biggest programmes, which educate future teachers, nurses and midwives. This independent audit report studied the entire work of the University at every level and across the range.”

The University of Worcester has transformed my son's learning experience—staff are incredibly supportive, and I've witnessed remarkable growth in his confidence and skills.

Don't bother coming to this university if you're an International student as all they're interested in is taking your money! They don't give a damn about you when you're in need of their help. I mean you can't even get a job at the university after graduation. Absolute nonsense. Absolute joke!! You're better off going to another university than this place. Id stay well clear off this university.

A small and friendly university in a lovely city! I had a great time studying Geography here and enjoyed debating with my lecturers. Very passionate team in a small department that is committed to its students and makes sure they have the best possible time and learn what they need for their future plans. I've met many amazing people from all around during my study and work at the University. I fell in love with Worcester and the UK during my studies and enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside as well as the rest of the country.

My experience at the University of Worcester has been great! You feel supported throughout your studies and help is always at hand. Lecturers always try to make the lectures engaging, interesting and creative, especially when a professional from the field is invited to host a lecture, it always adds a new perspective to the subject covered (as for Marketing, Advertising and PR). The people and students I've met are friendly, open and kind, there's a huge international community so you never feel alone. Additionally, the city itself is beautiful (you can't not fall in love with Worcester) and offers everything you need. I will for sure miss the walks by the river accompanied by swans and the view of Cathedral from the bridge. It's easier than you think to grow fond of this place and University.

Going into my second year and I can't wait. People and staff are incredibly nice and friendly and willing to give you a hand. And fellow students are very supportive. A place you can surely make friends for life

As a mature student the thought of attending university made me feel sick. I went to a rival uni first which confirmed all my fears. The UofW was totally different. I felt welcomed and included. The staff are all so helpful and my experience has been positive. So far so good!

From the moment I got to the uni I loved it, it was amazing. The lectures seemed engaging, the accommodation is above the rest I've seen, the people are friendly. It is by far the best uni I've seen and I was smitten within minutes of looking around

I recommend University of Worcester, helpful staff, great people, fabulous food and supportive lecturers who helped me graduate. I was so very happy at Worcester and loved the city as well. I graduated in 2008 and miss my Uni and would love to go back again.
