At the beginning of the year at the college I had really looked forward to my course and was really disappointed after the first couple of months. Some times the staff would just turn up late or decide to go for wonders during lessons. We then came to see their true colours and how fake their attitudes were. at points they made us come in on our days of to then turn up for 5 minutes not even set any work and then wonder off out of the classroom and leave us there for up to an hour. I didn't find many of the tutors to be helpful and some of the teaching assistants we had even felt the same as us and were fed up of the way they was.im pretty sure it was a group of 16 of us to which only a 2 or 3 decided to continue with the course and a few even decided to leave the college. Wouldn't not recommended this place to anyone, very run down building with very hot classroom with only a couple of them having air con that works or even having Aircon fitted.

Not a very good college. Majority of the staff are so rude and uncaring and have a disgusting attitude. The whole premises is very old fashioned and dilapidated inside, it could do with a major refurbishment - It is absolutely atrocious! Some of the staff are also very abrupt and on a few occasions have been known to swear which in my opinion is not at all professional and very disrespectful. Some staff don't even acknowledge you! The classrooms are very, very dirty and are quite miserable. I cannot stress enough that if you are considering becoming a student at the college, I suggest that you should look elsewhere - preferably somewhere where it is more friendly and clean!

I returned to Wigan and Leigh College after taking a few years out to study Animal Management Level 3. As a mature student I found the staff so welcoming and informative and feel I can go to them about anything. As someone who struggles a lot with mental health, I have the found the staff extremely supportive, especially Kathryn. I honestly can't praise them all enough. I'm on my 2nd year and look forward to studying further.

Coming to the end of my Level 3 Animal Management Extended Diploma, and I have never felt so welcome! All tutors are very understanding if you have any issues and are happy to help you out. Coming from hairdressing to animals was a huge change, but thanks to the tutors I have managed to finally to make progress onto my dream job, therapy animals! I can't thank Kathryn and the rest of the team enough for this and I can't wait to return in the future.

At Wigan and Leigh college I am studying on the PHP (professionals honors program). On this I am doing the Engineering route which includes Maths, Physics, Economics and Computing. This course is very beneficial and i think one of the best courses out there . I also get a work placement which college arranges. The tutors are very friendly and always have your best interests . They are always there for extra help and learn you to your best ability. The overall review of the college is excellent.

I've only done one year so far and at the beginning of the year I was really enjoying it but we got a new teacher and any time you feel like you're doing good, he puts you down. It just isn't a nice environment anymore I don't enjoy going here anymore, can't wait to leave next year.
Although I have met amazing people, and made fantastic friendships ☺️ that's probably the one good thing to come from this college.
