Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
If you guys looking for a hang out place, It's great. If you looking for interesting lectures they have them too. Had a lot of amazing professors. Now, If you are look into actually get an education and graduate within even 4 years, GOOD LUCK! I had my department loose my final essay and a mark for it too. Surprise, I failed the class. It took me a while to actually get them to investigated and do something about it. Administration sucks ball in here, same as financial advisories. They even lowered their acceptance average just to get people to go to York. Oh, and how can I forget there entitled TAs who will strike every 2-3 year for few months. If you have a choice between York and any other University, go to that other University. Do not waste your time and money.

Avoid this institution at all costs. I have lived through 2 strikes in this school, of which the second has stopped me from graduating on time and ruined my a year ahead. Too bad zero stars is not an option. Deeply dissapointed and disheartened.

I used to love york before coming here, but over the past 3 months, you just start hating the place when you finally realise that they don't care about us, just our money. quite a large number of us are international and without taking that into consideration they go on this long ass strike ruining peoples summer plans, internship plans and graduation plans. living in toronto on its own is expensive so staying here longer than budgeted for is a hassle, they choose to ignore this issues and pretend like this strike isn't affecting us. the worst part is that we aren't even getting refunds. i ain't siding with york or cupe but just bargain and end this strike. i've met amazing people at york and had interesting experiences with peers but i sincerely say if you have a better option, please don't come here.

Although this school has the potential to be amazing (diversity, community, a beautiful peaceful campus in the summer) it truly has just become a big business without the students and education the top priority.

If you enjoy having your education halted and ruined because of constant strikes then by all means go here. Seriously though this university is very outdated in the classrooms and lecture halls. The halls are also very crowded and you can’t get from A to B in quick fashion because of this. There are also some very weird people who just walk around campus like lunatics and security turns a blind eye.

Very nice and professional staff, provides all the information you need patiently and with the right guidance. Beautiful memories of my life, great educational experience and made some awesome friends while there. Thank you YorkU!

This is the worst university education I've ever received. Do not ever go here. The CUPE Union at this university strikes the campus every 3 years,of which the strike usually lasts for 6 months. This means that every 3 years one semester is cancelled. This throws people back a year since there are alot of fall/winter exclusive classes. The Engineering department at York is corrupt with sons/daughters of faculty members receiving 40,000$ scholarships that are usually reserved for people who are NOT financially stable. It should be noted that close family memebers of faculty already receive free tuition.

I had 2 strikes in my 4 years of studying here. That's 18~ weeks of classes I paid for and received nothing. The current strike is on its 9th week. This money hungry university does not care one bit about how their decisions affect the students and T.A's. Do yourself a favor and study somewhere else.

If I could leave the stars blank I would. This school is terrible. Some of the profs are nice but majority of them are pretty unhelpful. I will not go here for Graduate studies nor do I recommend this to any other future students.
